Waylan currently serves as co-founder and principal across four closely aligned companies operating under the Texas Energy Group platform, each targeting a distinct segment of the energy value chain. Prior to this platform, he co-founded Pumpjack Power (PJP), the only Option II Retail Electric Provider in the Texas ERCOT market designed exclusively for the oil and gas industry — pioneering a model of fully customized power options tailored to the unique demands of E&P and midstream operators, a segment long underserved by conventional providers.
In 2000, Waylan co-founded Border to Border Exploration (BBX), positioning the company among the first three operators to secure leases in what would become the Bakken Shale — now recognized as one of the three largest oil field discoveries in U.S. history.
Today, Waylan remains actively engaged across both the oil and gas and power sectors, managing a robust network of relationships with public and private energy companies. His rare combination of upstream petroleum expertise, SWD operations experience, and fluency in retail and infrastructure power markets makes him a uniquely valuable partner for companies seeking strategic capital deployment, energy procurement solutions, or infrastructure development expertise.
Outside of work, Waylan and his wife reside in Horseshoe Bay, TX, where they are founding members of Cornerstone Church. Many weekends are spent with grandchildren and the couple's two doodles, Hank and Harper.

Both companies are based in Spicewood, Texas.
Prior to this, Chad served as CFO of Red Rock Technologies, Inc., a privately held turnkey low-voltage technologies integration EPC company headquartered in Irvine, California. Chad holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
In his free time, Chad enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and boating Lake Travis.

Aaron brings over 15 years of accounting and finance experience in the energy industry, built alongside TEG President Waylan Johnson from the ground up — starting in oil and gas operations and saltwater disposal, then building and selling Pumpjack Power, an Option 2 retail electric provider in Texas, before launching the electrical EPC and brokerage companies that make up Texas Energy Group today.
What sets Aaron apart is the combination of long institutional trust and full business cycle experience — having partnered with TEG's leadership through formation, operations, and transactions across multiple energy businesses, he brings a perspective that goes well beyond the balance sheet.
When he's not at work, Aaron is outside with his family — hunting, fishing, and hiking — or playing music.

His background in biology shapes the way he approaches data and analytics, giving him a system-oriented way of thinking that carries through to his technical work. He began programming shortly after finishing his undergraduate degree and quickly became drawn to systems design, taking much of his inspiration from the highly efficient systems that already exist in nature.

My approach to service and connection took root early as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines and deepened during my time in federal operations at FEMA, where I learned firsthand the value of staying grounded under pressure and leading with integrity. That experience built a strong foundation in research, process development, and team leadership. I thrive on digging into the details, creating SOPs and systems that bring clarity to complex workflows, and stepping into whatever role is needed to keep things moving.
Beyond the office, I'm a proud mom to my 23-year-old daughter and dog mom to Athena and Apollo. I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. My faith, grounded in my community at Gateway Church in North Austin.
When I'm not working, you'll find me on Lake Travis jet skiing and wakeboarding, or spending time with family, fur babies and friends. Life is about energy in every form and I bring that same passion to everything I do.

What sets Elizabeth apart is a genuine passion for getting the details right — the kind of precision that catches the errors others miss, protecting both the clients and the business where it matters most.
She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. A Dallas native, she now calls Richardson home.
Outside of work, Elizabeth stays creative and connected. Thai by heritage, she has been deepening her roots in the Thai community by learning the language, studying the Khim, a traditional hammered dulcimer, and mixing drinks at the school's stall during the temple's Sunday street market.
She crochets, cross-stitches, and loves making handmade gifts for friends. She enjoys spending time outdoors and camping with her husband and two kids. At home, Elizabeth is likely curled up with a good book or playing video games with the kids.

On a more personal note, I have two dogs, Hollie and Sydney. Hollie brings me comfort and peace when I need it most, while Sydney helps fill the role of my "baby" now that my daughter, Madelyn, has gone off to college. Although I am fortunate to be surrounded by many caring people and beloved animals, my husband, Trent Goodwin, has always been—and always will be—one of my greatest supporters.
As a family, we enjoy relaxing evenings at home watching movies and playing board games, but we also love exploring new places and traveling together.
